4th of july

I know this was a while ago but for my own peace of mind i decided to put them up here. On the 4th we went to the West Jordan park. They had a whole carnival set up there. It was pretty fun. We had fun watching the boys on the rides. Ethan kept wanting to go on the motorcycle one & so did every other kid that was there. We had to wait in line for while all the other lines were short. The things you do for kids. Then we went over to our friend's Scotty & Melissa for a little BBQ & a neighborhood firework show. It was fun just hanging out. As you can tell from the picture below, Ethan was SO excited about the fireworks. I think i enjoy them more than he does. Anyway...thanks guys for the fun night.

TREK

Well Kevin went on his first trek. He was a little leery about going since his brother, on his trek, had to hunt for food & kill their own turkey.....fun stuff. They have come along way since then. Kevin said they had plenty food & water. Modern day pioneers. I even made him take his phone so he could call me!! Kevin left early Wednesday morning & came back in the afternoon on Saturday. This is a picture of him when he got home. I didn't even recognize him. Might i way what a hot pioneer! I guess the rugged outdoor type does something for me!! TMI??? Anyway...... he said he did enjoy it & would go again in 4 years or so. We sure did miss him back at the homestead!!

My baby is 2 ! Happy Birthday!

I can't believe that my youngest is 2. He is talking so much more & into everything. He is Ethan's little shadow. On Jackson's birthday we decided to go to Wingers, since he gets a free meal on his birthday. I don't mind going because i LOVE the asphalt pie!! YUM!
It was fun. He was so happy & excited the whole time.

My 2 other boys!!

Afterwards, we went to the Murray Pool. We like Murray because you can take your kids down the big slide with you. The West Jordan one they won't let you. Ethan loves the slide, he went down it a million times! Jackson was a bit scared when we got in the pool. He was holding onto me for dear life!! He would not let go. Ethan also would just go down the slide but not come play in the area where all the water was coming down. I guess we need to go more. We were about to leave & then i guess the boys knew this so they decided to do a 180 & love the water!! Jackson left the safety of mom & went off on his own.....going down the little slide by himself....going under the waterfalls....laughing the whole time.......it was funny.
Needless to say we stayed, they were having too much fun getting soaked !

Fearless Jackson going down the slide all by himself
My little 2 year old. Notice he is sporting pink plastic pants....very manly.

Happy Birthday Jackson!! We are glad you made it here, despite the crazy 9 months you had & the grand entrance you made. We love your smile, your laugh, the way you follow Ethan around everywhere, your love for tractors & trucks.......... you make us very happy.
WE LOVE YOU JACKSON!!

YM tetons

Kevin is the YM president in our ward.....he fits right in......just a big kid himself. They went up to the High Adventure base camp in the Tentons. They went last year too....it looks pretty awesome to me. They have an obstacle course there, went mtn. biking, & my favorite....... rafting the Snake river. I wish we did things like this when i was in YW.....instead i had to learn to be a homemaker......making bread. I still don't make bread....but i river raft!! They had a few accidents up there.....one boy crashed on his bike, one had to get stitches in his head & the bishop broke his finger....boys will be boys. Maybe next year they will need a much needed nurse!
I missed Kevin while he was away............but i know he loves doing this stuff & being outdoors just like his wife.

They had a lot of challenges they had to do. One of them was to get as many people over the water on this rope. Pretty funny to watch the video & pictures of them

Adam's crash......I am sure his mom loved that when he got home!! :)

Where are the bears mom???

We went to Bear Lake over the 24th weekend. Kevin's aunt & uncle live up there & have a sweet pad. I would love to move there!! I love being that close to a lake. Down close to the Lake there is a big grass area where you can set up tent, have a fire & just chill. We had a blast. Some of Kevin's cousins came up for the weekend & Kevin's brother & his family......thanks guys for the fun weekend!! Our friends from Idaho came with us also......................along with their nanny!! :) There was plenty to do....jet ski, boats, play on the beach, 4 wheelers, illegal fireworks....
I hope to be able to make it up there again.

Horseback

Our friends own some horses, so the other night we were able to ride them around. Both of the boys were a little scared at first but once on the horse they were naturals. Ethan wanted to ride the horses all by himself. It was fun to ride a horse again. Good old fashion cowboy "ing".
Thanks Emily & Drew

Doug's Birthday PArTy

We celebrated my father-in-laws birthday up in Big Cottonwood Canyon. We were up at the power plant place. It is a great place to have a party, you're all by your self in this awesome grass area. We loved it!! Thanks Kyle.

San Diego

We went to Legoland with our friends. It was a fun place. I think we could have spent 2 days there. There was a lot of places in the park were the kids could just stop & play, which was nice. This one is a 2 story place were kids were shooting guns with nerf ball . They were flying everywhere is was fun.I loved looking at all the structures they made out of legos....it was pretty awesome. We are on a little boat ride here. They made some of the wonders of the world out of legos.
What is up BOB?

Ethan & Riley

I guess Jackson wasn't too happy about taking a picture with his mom!

More Pictures of San Diego

I found some more pictures of our trip to San Diego. Here is some of the boys sleeping. We were happy they took naps on the way there & back.
It was very nice to have a DVD player so Ethan & Jackson could watch movies. At least it kept Ethan entertained the whole time. He has never watched so much TV in his life.

This is a picture of our 6 dollar hotel room. We didn't take very many pictures because we we in there for only for 9 hours. Just in & out.

Camp out

We decided since it was nice last Saturday night to have a camp out. The boys sure thought this was the best day ever. We set up the tent & the boys played in it for a few hours just running in & out...jumping on the beds! They loved it. Great entertainment. We had a picnic outside for dinner & then got them ready for bed. Both the boys grabbed their pillows, blankets & bears. We then watched The Incredibles in the tent. Kevin ridged it so we could lay down & watched the movie on the ceiling of the tent. Then both of the boys fell asleep before the movie ended. The boys got up around 7:30 am the next morning which was perfect because it was Sunday & we had to get up around 8 for church.....It was a good night. It got a little cold, but it was fun. Who needs to go up in the mountain when you have a the necessary things right here in the good old backyard!!
