Safe Kids Fair Zero "Catalities"

This shows you the power of radio.  I never really pay attention to the commericals on the radio.  Most of the time I flip through the stations when a commerical comes on to get to a song.  Ethan, on the other hand listens & pays attention to everything.  He kept telling me that we needed to go to the "Safe Kids Fair Zero Catalities."  He didn't know the word fatalities so,  he would say "catalities!" I figured what the heck it was free so why not go.  I thought it was pretty cool myself.  They had 3 different fire trucks there, lots of police vehicles, helicopters, bike races, games,......& many other things.

There was a  SWAT vehicle they got to go inside.  I loved going in all the vehicles too.  Once I got to ride in a fire truck with my Grandpa while they were transporting him to the hospital & I got to sit in the front.  I was a little to giddy when the fireman asked me if i wanted to come in the truck.  I think i am still a kid at heart.  It's hard to admit i was excited when my grandpa wasn't doing too well :(
I noticed that I got a lot of pictures of Jackson.  Most of the pictures of Ethan were blurry.  They wanted to go from one thing to the next &Ii would have to hurry & take a picture before they found something else to do & i had too many things in my hands to take decent pictures.  I asked Ethan this year what sport he wanted to play & he said Golf.  He said because it is so easy...all you have to do is hit the ball.  I don't really think he get the whole idea that you have to get it in the hole! Needless to say he was excited when he saw that you could hit golf balls there.  It was fun to watch them.
The last thing we say was this HUGE snake.  I didn't see it at first & almost stepped on it! Now that would have been interesting.  I really not a fan of snakes but for the sake of my boys I stayed calm & told them to pet the snake.  The things you will do for you kids.
It was fun to be there.  We will have to go again next year.

Valentine's Day

This year Valentines was celebrated on the 17th.  I had to work on the 14th &15th since they were both holidays...i figured they were easy ones to get out of the way.  Now i don't have to work one until July.
I love to make something for dinner that has to do with the holiday.  This year I made some heart jello jigglers, heart shaped bread sticks & a veggie pizza.  I really liked the veggie pizza! The boys did too.  It was fun, I got use my red glasses that I never use because I have children :(  I use to collect wine & champagne glasses for reasons I don't know, since i don't drink.  I just love the look of them.  Some day I will get a hutch so I can have them out to look at & use more.

Riley's Birthday

Ethan & Jackson were invited to their friend, Riley's, birthday party.  It was fun!! When the invite came it was all he could talk about everyday when he would wake up.  They had the party at the Aquarium, the boys had fun!  They kept talking about it & wondering when we were going back.  I told them we would come back again now that they are putting penguins in there! I think they are so stinkin' cute!!

This is the birthday boy Riley & my Ethan
Here are some of the kids looking at all the cool stuff they have there.  I'm not to fond of the Anaconda & the octopus!  They are creatures i could do without. I asked the boys what they like....Ethan said everything was wicked.....He gets that saying from The Incredibles!  Jackson liked the glowy things.....Jelllyfish!
My cheesy boy
There is a room in the center that they had the party in....pizza & drinks.
Riley had a Cars cake.  I can't believe he is 4 crazy.

Thanks Scotty & Melissa for the fun party.  Thanks to Riley for inviting the boys they had a blast.

Happy Birthday to my Kevin

I love birthdays! I love the fact that we get to celebrate the person who we love so much.  One of the things i did was make a cake for Kevin.  I must remind you that i'm not very good at making cakes.  I just made this one up by myself.....so no judgement.  I wanted to make a Kayaking cake, so i made a blue river, brown dirt & green grass.  Then i took a Twinkie & made it into a kayak.  Ethan wanted Lighting McQueen to be there.  He said "how did the kayak get there without a car, i know..... Lighting will take him."

We started Kevin's birthday out by going to the Jazz game.  They played the Kings & won by 7.  Thanks for the tickets Scotty.....it was a great birthday present for Kevin!!
Our neighbors have season tickets & always go out to dinner before, so we called them up & went to dinner before the game.  It was fun!
I love Jazz games.  I love to watch most sports in their arena.
Our friend Scotty, that gave us the tickets, knows a guy who does the games in between the quarters.  Well, Scotty called & got Kevin signed up!! Kevin & I got to go to the tunnel where the Jazz dancers are & wait till the end of the 3rd quarter.  Kevin went out on the floor & was competing against another guy.  There were three barrels set up with different points assigned to each one.  He had 30 seconds to throw as many small balls into the barrels.  At the end they add up the points & who ever won got a year supply of coke products.......points were tallied & who won...........the other guy ! :( I bet you thought it was Kevin! Me too! I totally thought he won.  Oh well it was fun being out there.  I got picture of it on my phone, not a very good one, but it won't load :(  After that i put a small camera in my purse so i am ready for whatever!!

The boys slept at my parent's that night, so the next morning we went to the Blue Plate Diner for breakfast.  We have only been there for lunch, but i heard it was one of the top places for breakfast.  It was also featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives! I really like the atmosphere there, if you like that sort of thing.  It was fun.  After that we picked our boys up from my families house & took the boys swimming!  They love the water! It is fun to watch them play.  Thanks parents for watching the boys.

Now to my Kevin~  I hope you had a fun birthday weekend.  Thanks for being a great husband!!
I love all that you do for me & the boys.  I couldn't ask for anyone better! I am glad that i said yes to you when you asked me to marry you.  Life has only gotten better.  You are a hard worker, smart, love life, very happy, love the outdoors & a good husband & father.....i could go on & on but i just wanted to say
I LOVE YOU!!!!

Our not so little Jackson

Normally our Jackson is a very happy boy.  Our family rarely gets sicks, we usually get our yearly cold & then we are done.  This year both my boys got pink eye...with ear infections & sore throat.  I hate seeing my boys sick.  I could tell Jackson was getting sick when at dinner he normally will eat almost everything & this time he just laid down on our bench & didn't want anything.  Then before Kevin & I went to bed I checked on him & he had a fever of 103, so i gave him some meds & then he said he was hungry
So... here is our sick boy in our bed eating toast.  Poor little guy.  He freaked me out for awhile because he was presenting all these symptoms of a disease.  I think being a nurse makes your mind always in diagnose mode! Anyways, he ended up not having what i thought.....the symptoms went away the next day.  Both the boys are great now.  Hopefully no more sickness...but that is highly unlikely.  I do love the fact that i get to cuddle him when he is.  Jackson is not a big cuddler but Ethan is....sick or not.

Joys of getting ready for church

When we get the boys ready for church we have a hard time getting Ethan to wear a tie.  If we succeed it usually comes off after sacrament or he chews on it during primary.  Jackson on  the other hand will wear ties most of the time.  I think that they look so cute in their white shirts & ties.  It makes them look so grown-up, which by no means that i want, but it's fun.  This is one of the few times i got them both to wear them.  I think that they are very handsome.....a little bias i think.  Too bad i didn't get a picture of them with Kevin, the most handsome out of the bunch...sorry boys!

Game night

For Christmas the boys got a new game.  I decided to buy a classic... Candy land.  It helped make my decision when it was only $5.   They love to play games, but the whole idea of loosing a turn & having to go back does not sit well with them.  It's fun to play with them.  As you can see we have paint swatches on the wall.  Someday i'm going to re-paint our house again.  I am just waiting for a good day to do it.  I enjoy change & it makes me feel happy when i change my surrounding.  It's March now & i still haven't painted.  I am kind of waiting for Spring which is pretty much right now but i keep thinking that it is going to snow.  Maybe some day there will be before & after pictures on here.

Moore SNOW

Our family loves snow days.  It's fun to be outside in the snow. The boys love to go sledding as you can see.
Kevin likes to take the boys on rides down the street
It is fun having 2 boys, they are cute with each other most of the time.  Hopefully there is one good snow day & then spring can come.
I'm more a summer girl, i like the winter but love to not wear socks, shoes & jackets.
We thought this year about taking the boys up free skiing now that they are getting older.  We'll see how that goes.  It would be fun to see how they do.

Farmer Family Chirstmas

On Christmas night we went to my families house & had a sleepover.  My whole family was there.  We have done this a few years in a row where everyone sleeps over & then the next day we celebrate Christmas.  It's fun to have everyone together.  We didn't take too many pictures, I really need to get better at that.  I guess i was just too excited.  Well, as you can tell by Ethan's shirt my mom & sister are still trying to brainwash him anyway possible.  I realized the other day that it's working.
My boy were playing in a kid area at a store the other day & there were 2 blue chairs & 1 red chair.  Ethan told Jackson "Let's sit on the BYU chairs! "  LOVELY
That just made me laugh.  Mom....if you are reading this i guess your brainwashing is working.  I thought you are suppose to let kids choose for them self, not instill bad thoughts in their head?   I still love you mom!
This is my cute Ethan getting a Transformers costume from his Grandparents.  Jackson got one too & they wear them almost everyday.  I am sure if i let them they would wear them to the store or anywhere for that matter.  Ethan & Jackson got new jammies the night before & i came to find out that Ethan & my brothers 3 boys had the same jammies too.  It looks like we are all matchy-matchy!

Jackson got Basketball jammies.  He is a very cute boy.  It was fun to watching him this year get so excited! In this picture he is going to give my mom a hug.  This was a very fun Christmas.  I can't believe how fast time goes.  Pretty soon i am going to be in my parents situation watching my kids with their families.  CRAZY.
I guess i need to slow down & enjoy the ride.
THANKS family for the fun Christmas.  It is awesome that we all get along so well.

Our Christmas

Well, I'm finally up to Christmas.  I think i'm making some real progress here! Maybe i will get to the present day in a week?? We can only hope.  This year i was suppose to work but they called me off.  I think I have only worked one Christmas when i first started.  I remember it was when we were first married & Kevin came up to my work & gave me a gift.....a grapefruit cutter! It was WAY cute & i love grapefruit.  Kevin decided to spend the rest of Christmas with my family since he didn't want to be alone on Chirstmas.
Well, ever since then i have some seniority, so i get called off.
This is the night before.  After the Moore party we came home & they opened their new jammies.  They love them as you can see.  Then they wrote letters to Santa & set out cookies & carrots.  It was cute.  If you can see me I have a cute headband thingy on.  Kevin's sister gave it to me for Christmas, i love it! Thanks Stacie.

Our Christmas morning started about 9:30.  It was great! I guess we wore them out the night before.  Santa left them new sleeping bags.....Cars for Jackson & Buzz for Ethan.  You can see Jackson's blue teddy bear in the picture.  He loves that bear a lot.  He wants to take it everywhere with him.  He got it from my aunt Shanna when he was a baby!  Santa also left a new car mat.  We use to have a small one but when Ethan was potty training he pooped on it, so i didn't want to deal with it so i threw it away!
I think that we could have been done with Christmas by then because after that
Ethan said "This is the best Christmas ever!" Made it all worth it :)  Our friends the Horsleys gave the boys gifts.  I think that was another highlight of the presents! They got some shotguns that shoot Nerf type bullets.  They love them & played with them all day & everyday after that....so THANKS Natalie & Carter!

Jackson got his much needed jacket for winter.  Ethan was a little jealous.  He kept saying, "Where is my new coat?"  I think he was wanting it because it was orange.  That is Ethan's favorite color.  Then we had breakfast after the presents & they watched a Christmas cartoon.  I found all the classics at Costco for $12, there are 9 movies.  They loved it & wanted to watch them all the time.

I realized we didn't get any pictures of Kevin & I during Christmas.  It is all about the kids right? Next year we will have to be better at that.  Thanks for the fun Christmas my cute family!!
