mmmmm......strawberries

For part of my birthday while I was out shopping for myself......I had decided this year instead of making Kevin find a present for me.....I would just do it myself.  Don't get me wrong....he does great....but this year I wanted some new clothes, so needless to say that may be a little hard for him.
When I got back him & Jackson had made chocolate dipped strawberries for me! YUMMY!
I haven't had one FOREVER....they tasted so good & looked so professional.
Thanks......It was so sweet.

Family Day at work

Kevin's work this year had a FAMILY DAY.  It was on the 16th of June......I know WAY behind on my blog.  I will get there again.  They had all these activities set up outside but it was not very good weather so we all stayed inside.  They provided lunch & had a band.  Then walked around to the different booths on nutrition and stuff.  They even had LEO the LION from REAL soccer.......only the boys wanted nothing to do with him.
The best part of the trip was seeing where my Kevin talks to me everyday & the boys loved writing on all the white boards......the only problem is that they erased some important stuff on a girls board that sits by Kevin.....Lovely.  If she is like me I would never remember what was on there.
It was a fun day.

how does your garden grow?

This is our 3rd year having a garden & it keeps getting bigger & bigger.  We do the square foot gardening......which I LOVE!! There is no weeding.....and it is SO EASY! We have 4 boxes right now.

This one has snow peas, sugar snap peas, green beans & broccoli.
The boys go out there & eat all the peas.  Also, a new addition to out flower bed is an old RED FLYER WAGON.  My mom has kept it on the side of her house FOREVER & one day it dawned on me to plant flowers in it & use it in my flower beds.  I will have to take another picture of it......i love it.

This one has cantaloupe and pumpkins in it.

The next 2 have..... zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, green onions & cucumbers.

The side of our has has ALL raspberry bushes!! I am head over heels for raspberries!! We have some in buckets, so when we move we can take them with us.  I don't think the raspberries ever make it into the house....because we eat them all right there on the spot.
Also, we have a blueberry bush but it won't produce fruit until next year....which i am excited for.
We have an apricot tree in the corner.  I was all ready this year to can them & make jam & all that good stuff......but due to the weather they frozen & now NO apricots for me :( I was excited to learn how to can them & make some apricot nectar.....YUMMY.  Maybe next year.
I can't wait for out squash plant to grow!!  I love it on the grill.

Camp out

On my birthday weekend we decided to have a little camp out in our own backyard.  The boys ADORE running in & out of the TENT.  It was such a gorgeous night, I just laid out on our mattress & watching the boys run back & forth.  We watched a MOVIE in the tent...Princess & the Frog.  I am very FOND of that movie.  I like RAY the little lighting bug....very cute.  The soundtrack is great also.....except they don't have one of my favorite songs on the soundtrack....crazy.

bRoThERs

I LOVE having two boys.....i think i use the word LOVE too much.  Maybe I need another word.  How about.....ADORE.....FANCY....FOND of.... KEEN to.... PARTIAL to.....
I'm glad that we have 2 boys...they are cute when they play together & are FOND of being with each other.  Don't get me wrong they are BOYS & have their wrestling matches.

I thought it was CUTE the other day, I saw Ethan outside helping Jackson ride his bike.  Jackson usually rides a trike or a scooter....but he Flintstones his trike.  He refuses to pedal so, Ethan is trying to teach him on his bike.  What a good big brother.

Somewhere over the rainbow

I LOVE being outside while it's raining and after......I LOVE the smell of rain.  Also, I LOVE to see rainbows after.  It that enough use of the word LOVE :) This rainstorm brought 2 rainbow.
They are not very good pictures but it makes me SMILE.

Here is my Ethan rockin' his tie-dye shirt that Kevin made for him at a carnival.  Ethan & Jackson would wear them everyday if I would let them.  Perfect shirt for looking at a rainbow!

Neighborhood water party

WAY back on June 4th all the neighborhood kids had a water party.  We have a lot of KIDS in our neighborhood right around our house.  It's FUN to see all the kids outside playing together.  While the kids played....... all the moms sat under a shade tent & just chit-chatted!

My little Ethan is tall kid with no hips.  His bathing suit kept falling down & reveling his bum.  It was quite a show.  I went out and bought a new swimming suit the next day so no one else would get a show!
 It was funny.

I LOVE SUMMER!! I love to be outside & enjoy watching my kids have fun.

Preschool

I can't believe it's been another year of preschool for Ethan.  He has grown up way too fast.  He has really done well in preschool & loves going.  He goes to a neighborhood preschool, which has been great to walk him to school when we can.  Since he has done 2 years there, he technically graduated from her class & now will be going to a different preschool before he heads off to Kindergarten in 2011....CRAZY!
For Ethan's last day of school, they had a picnic in her backyard.  While I was packing Ethan's lunch, I packed Jackson & I one too.  They were both very excited.  While Ethan was a school, Jackson & I had our own little picnic in the backyard.  It was such a nice day & he was so happy.
This is a picture of Ethan with his cute teacher Miss Margaret.  She is a great teacher & we will miss her but not too much, Jackson will be starting preschool with her this fall......now that is just CRAZY!
These are his friends Riley & Ryan....who we carpooled with.  It was fun to have a carpool this year

Here is a picture of Ethan on his first day of preschool back in 2008....he looks so little.  I can't believe how big he is now.  I guess I need to slow down & enjoy all the little moments before they pass me by.  We love you Ethan....Congrats on preschool graduation.

Memorial Day

For Memorial day we went to see both set of my Grandparents, some other relatives related to me &
my BIG BROTHER!    I didn't get a chance to know him but I feel like his is apart of my life.  He was only here for a short little while but I know we will see him again.  I love how every year my brother Ryan puts some kind of ball on his grave....last year was a golf ball & this year a tennis ball.
We love you Chet!

This is a picture of the view from my paternal grandparents grave in Provo Cemetery.  I can't believe it has been almost 2 years since they passed away.  It just seems like yesterday they were here.  They were in my life for a long time.  I miss them a lot & think about them all the time but will see them again too.

This is part of my crazy family in Provo.
Here is my maternal grandparents.  I wan't lucky enough to have them in my life for very long.  It's weird that my grandma passed away when I was 2 but I have very clear memories of her & also of my Grandpa who died when I was 6 years old.  It would have been nice to have them around.
My boys & cute Jovi were having fun looking at all the graves & flowers.
The kids liked the ones that would have lots of stuff around the grave & that had stand that said mom & dad. I thought it was funny, they would sit down by them & stay awhile.  It was a great day & very fun to remember all the people who have passed on before us.

Let's go Kayaking

I  love summer! One of the things i love about summer is playing in the water.  I love going kayaking or river rafting.  Kevin got out his kayak for the boys to play in.  They thought it was pretty cool!  I'm so excited that Ethan is getting old enough that we can take him on one of our less intense trips.
I love having 2 boys.  They play really well together & always ask where the other one is when they are away from them for 2 seconds.  Way cute!

Mother's day

The Friday before mother's day a box of flowers showed up on my porch for me.  I thought "Oh.... Kevin must have bought flowers for me for Mother's Day!" I didn't open them & waited for Kevin to come home.  Well, when he came home i asked him & he said "No, I didn't get you any, do you have an admirer?"  Not that I know of.....but you never know!  I opened the box & found some roses from my admirer.....MY DAD!!  That was such a awesome surprise. On the card he wrote:
Dear Daughter: May this Mother's Day be very special for you and man you receive all the love you can handle.  Thanks for being such a sweet and caring person with the finest sense of humor.  I love you deeply and cherish the time we spend together.

WOW...i just love my dad.  Dad~ i love you too! Thanks so much for making my Mother's Day.

Just so you know...... Kevin also made my Mother's Day VERY special.  He is a great husband! I love that he is always thinking about others regardless of what day it is.

New oven

Out with the old in with the new....well new to me.
We are in the process of updating our kitchen....replacing the counter top, painting the golden oak cabinets... amongst other things.  I was getting really tired of cooking on our stove.  One of the burners is bent, so i never used it & I was getting tired of cleaning up the drip pans every time my oatmeal would boil over.
Poor Lindsay...i know :)  So...i looked on my favorite place...ksl...and found a good deal on a Kitchen Aid oven & nice flat top stove!! It was in pretty good condition & works like a charm.  Now i have convection, self cleaning & digital.  Yeah me!  The awesome thing about it, is that we sold our old one the same day we bought our new one on ksl in about 2 hours.  Kevin just had to convert our 3 prong oven plug to a 4 prong.  He can do anything.....i love my handyman.  That is one of the reasons i married him, he loves to learn & figure things out.

Temple night

Once a month we go to the temple with 4 other couples.  Each month one couple stays home & takes care of all the kids.....which can be up to 10 kids at a time.  It's pretty great having someone to take your kids once a month, a temple date set & to go with friends.  The month of April was our month.  We took 7 kids to the church & let them run around for awhile, since it was snowing & our house it too small for all those kids...lovely! It was fun to hangout with them & get to know all the kids.

Then we came back to our house & made some cookies.  The girls were pretty cute, they said they wanted to have their own cooking show & they are awesome at cooking. For some reason the frosting turned out horrible. It was the same frosting I always make so i have no idea what went wrong.  Anyway...so i let the girls go loose on trying to make it better. They were fun to watch!
I thought this picture was so cute of Alli & Ethan.  She is pretty gorgeous, no wonder he is snuggling her!

Yep, this is what the Moore's will do to your kids if we take care of them.  We send them back in less than perfect condition.  It was a fun night.  I think this temple date night is a pretty good idea.

Conference Weekend

This last conference the boys actually watched some of it.  I was impressed.  I thought it was pretty cute of Jackson laying down just like his dad.

Then we had spaghetti for dinner.  The boys had a blast trying to eat it.  Open wide!

Soccer

Kevin went to the DI a bit ago & found a soccer net for cheap.  I love good deals & recycling, it makes me feel good.  The boys thought it was so cool & it is.
I love now that it is nice outside & that we can run around outside.  I was a little tired of us not being able to go outside & do some good old fashion exercising.

Ethan loved being the goalie.....he was pretty good at that.  He is funny, he is like his mom, once he starts laughing he can't stop & everything is funny to him!  I love summer & my soccer players!
