Pool time

It has been nice this year, we have been able to go swimming many times.  My parents own my Grandparents condo since they passed away a few years back.  They have access to a pool there.  When they lived there, we never sent swimming because my grandparents felt like they needed to be there with us & I felt bad dragging them down there for hours while we swim....so we never did it.  This sounds horrible but now that they have passed away......we have been swimming TONZ!
I would just take the boys....strap on their life jackets & away they went.  It was nice they just swam around on their own.  It is a decent size pool & not a lot of people there....since it's somewhat of a retirement community.  Usually it is just me & the boys but.....on the 24th of July we went as a family.
It was SO much fun to have Kevin with us!
Then a little while later my mom and sister showed up for some fun.
I love being in the water...I could stay forever!  There is my handsome Kevin.  The horrible thing is that Kevin came away with a HORRIBLE sunburn....I have never seen him in so much pain.  OUCH!
The boys had fun jumping into the water & being thrown into the air.
It was an awesome time.  Hopefully next year we will get lots of swim time in....but most likely someone will renting the condo by then :(

Temple night

We have a group of us that go to the temple together each month.  Then each one of the couples take turns taking care of all the kids while the other couples go.
I LOVE having a set night to go to the temple each month & someone to take my kids.

This time was our turn in July to take care of the kids.  We only had 3 other kids to take care of this time.  I thought it would be fun to set up a water slide & let them entertain themselves.  It was SO much fun.  We have fun getting to know the kids better.

It was GREAT! The kids love it.  It was starting to get cold so we all decided to get warm but one of the kids, Ryan, decided he wanted to stay out.  He was amazing.....that water was....FREEZING.....& he said he was not cold at all.  He was letting Jackson spray water in his face and everything.  It was a great night.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
I LOVE this time of year......this is my favorite holiday. I can't pinpoint it to one thing.....maybe it's the colors, that fall is in the air, the smells.....I love decorating for Halloween & dressing up. I need to just slow down & enjoy this time.

Drive-in

Every summer I want to go to the Drive-in but we never make it........but this year.......... we actually went.  On the 21st of July we invited our friends to come with us to see Despicable Me.  It was fun!
It turned out to be a good night, the weather was good & the company.

We took the Jeep & put down the windshield..........but the boys liked the truck idea better.
Which was fine with us........date night baby!! Thanks for taking all the kids :)
Plus our friends made GOOD popcorn.
They are definitively invited back :)

Both of the boys were pretty tired after the show.  Here is Jackson just chillin' in the back of the Jeep.
Here is Ethan about half asleep.
It was such a FUN night.  We will have to do it again.

Vegas BABY!!

Our friends who live in CALI.......invited us to Vegas with them & stay in a nice resort!! Of course we said YES....we see them about once a year.  It was going to be over the 4th of July weekend......can you say HOT!! .......but .......it ended up not being as hot as I expected.....it was just right......102-104
Our friends weren't going to be to Vegas until Saturday so we decided to leave on Friday & drive to St.  George to see Kevin's grandparents.

We took off in our rented KIA......we have had some crazy stories of car problems when we have driven to California in the past......so we decided to rent a car.  Plus I like the idea of putting wear and tear on someone else car & not worrying about getting out car dirty &............. you get to drive different cars.......even if it is a KIA :)

It was fun to see his grandparents.   Kevin's mom was there also.  Her parents haven't been doing so well.....so the kids take turns going down there to be with them.  We were lucky to have her down there when we went.
AND.....again I didn't take pictures of that......I need to have my camera on me at all times!!!
Right when we got down to St. George we decided to take the kids to a place called Fiesta Fun Center.  They had been in the car for awhile & needed some running around time.  It was like a smaller version of boondocks.....there was hardly anyone there.....it was a Ghost town...but the kids loved it.

After we spent some time with his grandparents we drove to Logandale....which is about an hour outside of Vegas.  Kevin has a mission companion who lives there....they invited us to stay with them that night.  It was fun to meet them & hear about mission stories again.  He is a cop in Vegas! It was fun to hear all the stories & you can tell how much he loves his job.  Then in the morning we took off to Vegas!
THANKS for the nice accommodations......hopefully we will see you all again!

Our nice CRIB

We showed up in Vegas around 3 pm on Saturday the 3rd & went to our digs!!
It was a awesome place.....the Cancun Resort.  We were on the top floor.  It looked over the pool area........which we spent a few hours there.   It was nice!!
The cute girl with us is Charley........she is SO funny!  Ethan & Charley got a long great, they had fun with each other.

Not the best picture....but this is our view of the pool.  I always mean to take more pictures but never do.......bad Lindsay :)

THANKS for the great place!!!

4th of July Fireworks

On Sunday we went to church with one of Kristi's friends who served a mission with her.  She hadn't seen him for about 10 years or so.  After that we hung out at the condo & all of Ameri's family showed up.  They were staying in Vegas & then heading off to Price for one of Ameri's sister's wedding.
We had a yummy spaghetti dinner & then watched fireworks.  It was AWESOME!! Out of our balcony we could see about 30 firework shows.....it was great.  They weren't right on top of you but it was awesome!! I love fireworks.  I didn't take very good pictures but you get the idea.

After the kids were done watching the firework we watched some on the TV....the Boston Pops celebration. It was fun.  This is a picture of our friends girls......Charley & Maddie.....they are TOO cute.

Movie & water place

On Saturday we went to Toy Story 3,  after we arrived in Vegas with our friends and their 2 girls.  It was cute....I really liked it.  I only cried once for entirely different reasons then why Ethan cried.
Ethan was kind of scared of the pink bear & a part in the movie that was kind of iffy.........
He kept saying "I want to go" but then he ended up being ok :)

After the movie we went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner.  It was yummy!  I got a appetizer that looked REALLY yummy but was a totally rip off!!  I didn't get very much for the money I paid for it.
Oh well.........vacation.
After we walked around the mall area, I noticed a water fountain place where kids could play.  It looked fun so we decided to come back & play.

Ethan had so much fun playing & I loved watching him.
As you may have noticed.....where is Jackson??
Well, he was so tired.....that we decided to let him sleep in the car with Kevin.
I felt bad he couldn't join in but he needed sleep.
Ethan & I could have stayed there forever.  I wish we had a place like this around here....but I have never found anything close to it.  Ethan had fun going through the maze they had.  He likes that kind of stuff.

The strip & Circus Circus

We decided to let out friends have some time with their family......they don't see each other that often.........since they live all over.......so we decided to go see some of Vegas.  We took off & toured some hotel & saw some of the attractions around.  It was fun to be in Vegas again.  There were TONZ of  people there......but do you expect any less for Vegas??
I love it & wish I had tons of money to go to all the shows.......now that would be fun.
After we did that we met up with our friends at Circus Circus.......my old stompin' grounds.  We went to Vegas a lot growing up.  My brother Ryan played basketball & we would go to Vegas for the Easter Tournaments.  I spent a lot of Easters there.  We would always make it to Circus Circus to play all the games & would take a lot of stuffed animals home.......I think Ryan even has a lot of them still.  It was fun memories.

We had dinner there & then watched.....about.......4 circus acts......they were cool.  Then I had to try my luck at the games.  I did one game & WON......a cute little lion for Ethan.  It was fun to play again.

Hoover Dam

The last part of our trip was on the 6th of July,  we all went to the Hoover Dam.  It was awesome to see the new bridge they are building.  I am still amaze that civil engineers can do all that.  It is pretty great.  We stayed there for a bit & walked around ......it was SO HOT!! After that we made the long trek back home in our KIA :) Thanks for getting us there & back with no big problems.
THANKS again DAVID family for the awesome vacation.....we LOVE you all!
Hope all goes well with the move.  Hope to see you again soon:)
I am SO mad....... we never got any pictures together with our friends........
I guess that calls for another vacation!

Boys Fishing Trip

Kevin took the boys on a fishing trip up to Mill Hollow.  You might ask why am I not there? Well, that was the day I was setting up for my Relief Society party.  No......he didn't just bail on me.  He asked if he could help out in anyway....but I told him to go & have fun......we women can handle it.......I truly didn't know what we were in store for.

Last time we took the boys fishing about a year ago......Jackson fell in the water twice.  Needless to say.....I told Kevin to keep a close eye on Jackson.  When they got home......what happened.....he fell in!! Crazy boy.  I thought this video was pretty cute of him after he fell in.

The boys had a great time fishing as you can tell by Jackson's face despite the falling in.
Boys are resilient aren't they?

I love that they love doing whatever.  I love spending time with them.  I am glad that Kevin is a man's man & like to do all those guy things.  He is a great dad!

RS Luau

For our RS activity in June we did a Luau.  It was very interesting!  We planned on having it outside this year in my backyard.  We figured if we planned it at the end of June that the weather might cooperate.  Last year it was a down pour on the day we did it but, luckily the activity was a service project inside the church.

SO.......my wonderful activity leader Kelli, her husband, 3 boys & I were setting up for the party.  OH.......i have to tell you, on this day in the morning it was windy all day.  I kept hoping it would be nice.  Right before we were going to set up it started to get nice but there were a few mean clouds in the sky.
We contemplated for a minute & decided to still set up in my yard.  As we are setting up the wind was kicked up again & the mean clouds got bigger & bigger......the wind was getting harsh.
An hour before it was going to start ........we decided to head back to the church and set up!! AHHHH
We took down everything & threw it in the cars & went to set up.
I must say it was a lot faster setting up without the wind interfering.
Well........we got it done right on time & it looked great & turned out great.
But as it goes...right as we were done setting up in the church................. how was the weather outside you might ask??
Wonderful, calm, peaceful........i think that was a test of faith & obviously we have none & failed horribly.

A BIG THANKS to the Matua men!!
We couldn't have done it with out you.  They set up all the tables & chairs & shade things.  Then they had to take them all down & bring them back to the church.

We had dinner & then some awesome entertainment.
We had dancer do Hawaiian, Tahitian & Samoan dancing.  It was SO good.  They were great.
Then they taught us all some moves......hips moves! There is the bishop doing his moves.
I took this picture of one of the girl's boys....max....very cute.
He kept getting a drink of water every 2 seconds.
We also had a coloring contest & this was the winner!
They we all very creative but this one was pretty cute.

Thanks for the fun night girls & THANKS to Kelli  & your family for all your work.

No more 4 wheeler

I was out playing a softball game on the 28th of June & came home around 10:30 pm to my 4 year old still up.  I asked what was going on & Kevin said....you are gonna be mad!!  HMMMM.  Then Ethan said come here and look at my bike.  We opened the garage & he took off on his 2 wheeler!! I am a goober & started crying.  He is just getting too big.  Why did he say mad? He said that I missed him doing this.  I told Kevin it was fine.  I have been here for a lot of firsts....he can have a few of them.
While I was gone Kevin & the boys were outside hanging with the rest of the kids & Ethan starting riding the neighbors bike.  Landon's bike is small & had no petals so they can learn to balance faster.  Kevin saw him & thought it was time to take the training wheels off.
Kevin said he really didn't need any help & just did it by himself.  CRAZY!!  I guess we could have taken them off earlier, but i just never felt he was old enough.  I just want them to stay small forever.
Nice job ETHAN!

Fireman Boys

My boys are definitely BOYS.  They run around all day non stop going from one activity to the next.  I really love it & love having them around.  I think I would worry if they didn't do all that & keep me on my toes at all times.  They love playing in the water & getting all wet..... especially Jackson....he loves it.  Ethan is a bit more cautious but not my Jackson.  He will be soaked from head to toe.  They were outside & of course Jackson with no shirt....he is not really into the clothes & shoes things.  He takes them off the first chance he gets. He needs to live on an island.

I heard them out there talking about fires & stuff....so went to go check it out.  They are pretty cute.  I love how Ethan has the hose between his legs.....very fireman like.

They should be out there watering.....lovely dead lawn.
Oh-no.....my little fireman is not so happy.  He got squirted in the face.
