Merry Moore Christmas

We have Christmas with Kevin's family usually on Christmas Eve.  I love going.  My mother-in-law cooks dinner which is always good.  I love the way she takes the time to make the table & everything look just right. This year after dinner we had a talent show.  All the families sang a song.  It was pretty cute.  We had some tears & some stage fright but it was fun.  Our boys sang Rudolph, they did great at home but as soon as we did it there........ nothing! So the whole family sang it!
After the talent show we go downstairs & have the grand opening of all the gifts.  It's a little chaotic but fun.  All the grandkids open their gifts together & then the adults give to whoever they picked previously.

It's fun to see how much fun the kids have & just to be with family.
I love being around Kevin's family.  I don't know how i got so lucky.
This year thanks to Kyle & Shilo they had the idea of doing a book for Kevin's mom & dad.  It has pictures in it & we each wrote what we admire about them.  It was VERY cute.  I think they loved it a lot.  I know i would, but the person we have to THANK the most is my sister-in-law HOLLY!! She put many hours into putting the book together! She did any awesome job...as always.  Holly is very talented.
THANKS HOLLY for all your hard work.
Here is the party!! This year i totally forgot to bring their jammies.  Usually all the kids get in their new Christmas jammies & i forgot this year....not a big deal but as a mom i hate when i forget things.

Thanks MOORE's for the great Christmas.

The Horsley Party

Our friends from Idaho were going to St. George for Christmas & decided on the way to stay the night with us.  When they got here we took them to Classic, so we could all run around & be kids.  If you haven't been there lately, you should go with your kids.  It' s pretty cheap & they have fun things to do there. I remember skating there when i was 14 & trying to hook up with the boys.  It's still kind of Ghetto but they have added a few more things.  It was fun. They have a bunch of blowup slides....here is Kevin & Jared being boys.

They have this blast zone with a huge red slide you can go down.  Their little boy Carter decided to go down by himself....he is the blur on the slide.  Very brave!
This is their girl Natalie, climbing on the big slide.  We have no pictures of our kid because i took the camera but there was no card! Lovely!
Our friends the Horsleys!!  We then took Traxs downtown to see the lights
It was a very beautiful snowy night....COLD.
It was fun to be down there & see all the light & the Nativity.

We then went to the Gateway after & had some dinner.....& my favorite.....a caramel apple at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.  They cut it up for you so you don't have to ruin your teeth by biting into a huge apple.
It was a very fun time, thanks for the fun time.  We love you Horsleys.

Ward Christmas Party

We had our ward Christmas Party on the 8th of December.  Santa Claus made his appearance.  It was a wait, but it was fun to see what the boys would do.  Obviously Jackson wasn't too excited about seeing Santa.  I love the crying pictures, i think their the best! Not that i like seeing my child crying but it's just a little entertaining. I even got to sit on Santa's lap to show Jackson how nice he was, but he didn't think so.
Ethan was a little leery at first but i think he wanted to be a big boy & show Jackson how easy it was.  He kept saying "See Jackson, Santa is nice".  It was fun to have pictures taken with him.  I'm not one to stand in line at the mall or where there is a long line, so if they didn't have Santa at the party we would never have pictures of them with Santa.
For the entertainment portion of the evening they had the West Jordan High School choir.  It was good.  All the girls came out & asked for Eddie.  He is a counselor in the bishopric.  They put a Santa hat on him & I'm sure you can guess what song came next....yep Santa Baby.  It was funny, Eddie is an awesome guy.  They were singing to him & then his started dancing in his chair with his Samoan moves! LOVED IT!

SNOW!

This is one of those rare snow days this winter back on the 5th of December.
The boys love playing in the snow.
I was trying to be all professional here.  I'm trying to do better at taking cool pictures, but i don't know if i will every get there.  I am a point & shoot kind of girl right now.

I realized when I was getting the boys ready that Jackson really doesn't have a snow jacket.  I guess you think that you are set when you have hand-me-downs from Ethan.  Then i realized that Ethan is wearing the same jacket that he wore last year, thanks to Boston! Hence, no warm jacket for Jackson.  Poor little dude, but he didn't seem to mind.

I was so excited for the snow & that they could finally go outside because i had just bought 2 new kids shovels.  As we were going out i could only find one.....crazy...how did we loose a shovel.  That is why Jackson is holding a paddle! The little ones always get the shaft.  Ethan had a little melt down about the shovel thing because i gave the one to Jackson.  Jackson being the cute boy told Ethan he would trade.  I love that boy.

Family picture time

For the past 3 years we have our family pictures taken around Christmas time.  I figured instead of paying someone I would just have my dad do it.  He has done it the past 3 years & i love them.  He loves taking pictures......so why not give him practice....& free is always good right?

We went to Willow Creek Country Club, my parents live right by it.  There backyard lines the course.  I think the course is beautiful! It was fun.  I don't know how anyone gets their kids to sit still...but i love it when they are being themselves....it shows that they are kids.

When we had the boys do on together they kept hugging each other the whole time.  Silly boys
We did a few silly ones but my dad had his camera on the wrong setting & most of them are blurry but this one turned out pretty good.  It was fun.  THANKS POP for the pictures.

Halloween Stuff

Once again....i know a little late but i am making up for our computer being dead.  Halloween is my favorite holiday.  I don't really know why.....colors, fall, dressing up.....i just love it.
This year for breakfast we had pumpkin pancakes & a banana caterpillar.

We carved pumpkins this year.  It was mostly just Kevin & I doing it but it was fun.  We haven't carved some in a long time.  Pretty good huh?
We usually make gingerbread houses around Christmas time, but this year i thought it would be fun to do a gingerbread haunted house.  They boys really liked putting it together.  I was something they could actually do without me getting worried they were going to cut themselves while carving pumpkins.  Then for dinner we had mummy dogs.  Hot dogs wrapped in dough to look like mummy's.
Then I took the boys out trick-or-treating.  Kevin had no problem staying home & passing out candy since the U was playing.  Ethan was a dinosaur & Jackson was my little pumpkin....me?.....i just put on a veil & Vegas jewelry & decided that i was a Vegas bride....i know what you are thinking.....very creative :)  When we got out on the streets I thought we would just go up & down our street & then come home.  Little did i know that we would stay out 3 hours!! I was so surprised that they wanted to stay out that long.  Jackson was having so much fun & did not want to go home.  I kept asking him & he would say........
no, more tick-er-teet....very cute.  He walked the whole time.  It was fun

The many sleeping positions of Ethan

I love it when we go check on the kids before we go to bed at night.  We are always in for a surprise to see what position Ethan will be sleeping in that night.  The top one is my favorite!
I can't believe he didn't fall off or wake up.

This one is the night after his birthday party.  He set up all his toys to sleep by him.
Ethan requested one night to have his blanket over him & when we came back to check on him.....
it was still on him! He is a funny kid.

PumPKiN pAtCh

We always go past this pumpkin field & i tell myself every Halloween that we will go there & pick out pumpkins.  Well, this year we finally did it.  It was so much fun.  The boys had a blast pulling the wagons & trying to find the best pumpkins.  I love the top picture because the boys were so excited to get their picture taken with the tractor.  The reason behind it, is that my dad has a small toy replica of it.
I really do love Halloween.

Ensign Peak

We were lucky enough to have some of Kevin's friend's from his mission stay with us.  It was fun to put a face to the people I've heard a lot about.  They had great stories about Kevin too!

One of the days we hiked up Ensign peak.  I haven't done that for at least 8 years...when Kevin & I were dating.  The boys did awesome.  They walked all the way up & loved every minute of it.

It was gorgeous up there.  A little foggy but, still a good view.  I'm glad that we took the chance to go up there. Thanks girls for the fun time.  We really loved having you & you are welcomed anytime!

Dierks Bentley, Jimmy Wayne & Brad Paisley

I realized that i NEVER put a post about this.  This was an awesome night & i can't believe i didn't blog about it.  For part of our anniversary we went to a concert at the USANA amphitheater.  It was SO much fun.....I love going to concerts.  Kevin was able to get a nice little suite there, which I had no idea they existed.  We got the VIP treatment.  Oh yeah!!
Our friends drove all the way from Idaho just to be with us........I think it was the FREE that helped them decided to make the drive ....... I know you love us
Kevin's brother Kyle & his wife Shilo came (at the top) & my handsome brother Cameron & his wife Kristen.  I am SO glad that they all could come.

Jimmy Wayne

Thanks honey for the awesome night.  I LOVED it.  My favorite was Dierks Bentley!! He was VERY entertaining & good at what he does.  I love his music.  Brad Paisley is good but not an entertainer.
