Discovery Gateway

I have been wanting to go to Discovery Gateway for a long time. I was just waiting until Jackson was old enough to enjoy most of it. Well......he's way beyond that point, so we finally went. My boys LOVED it!! We stayed there 5 hours!! They would have stayed longer, if i would have let them.

They have a construction site that is pretty fun....using the crane & building buildings.

This is Jackson shopping in the little market they have, way cute.
Ethan loved to be the checker & Jackson liked making sandwiches.

Ethan had fun being the mailman for the day. It's cute, they have mailboxes all around, so you can deliver the mail to the farm....gas station....etc. You can also dress up like a fireman.

They have an area with a bunch of tubes that you can put balls in them & they will go to various places. They stayed here forever too. Notice Jackson with his tongue out.....he's just like his dad, when he is concentrating, his tongue comes out. silly!
The upper part of it has more stuff for older kids to do but it was still fun. I loved the life-flight helicopter...the boys seemed to like it too, making their own helicopter noises.
Another picture of Jackson concentrating with his tongue out....... I think that this was Jackson's favorite part. They have this water area where you can play with boats & different things. He was soaked!! They have aprons you can put on but, i would put it on him & the next minute i knew it would be off.
If you haven't been here yet...you should really go. Go right when it opens & just hang out at Gateway. You can come & go all day long. You don't have to stay there the whole time you can go get lunch & them come back for some more fun. We loved it.

Welcome to Ethan & Jackson's Carnival

This year for Ethan's 4th & Jackson's 2nd birthday we decided to do a CARNIVAL. Their birthday's are 18 days apart & we had no time this summer to do separate family parties for them....so we did it together & invited both families. The only ones who didn't make it were Kevin's parents....they were enjoying the warm sun & water in Lake Powell...jealous!!

It was fun to have them open all the present....a little crazy at first because Ethan wanted to open all the present...but it was all good! Thanks for all the gifts!
It was a lot of fun!! I know they boys loved it. We had a bunch of booths set up to play games....had costumes they could dress up in....& we borrowed a sweet sound system from Kevin's aunt & uncle.....music played the whole time. It was awesome.
My mom, aunt & sister helped me out SO much. I was a little behind schedule...so they jumped right in & helped out! THANKS....you girls are great. They didn't complain too much because it was nice & cool inside.
I recruited my brother to bring his artistic balloon skills. He used to go to restaurant & make balloon animals for kids. He sat there the whole time & made cool balloons for the kids...they loved it!! THANKS so much Ryan for doing that. You are great! There is a picture of Ethan crying because his wonderful balloon popped! CRAZY! I made a racecare cake for the boys. It turned out all right. It was figure 8 racetrack & i put some cars on there. It was a good cake for 2 boys!

THANK YOU all for coming & for the awesome presents......the boys love them!!
You are a great family & we love you!!

Moore Water Park

This year we decided to have a Water Party with some of Ethan's friends. My brother has this awesome water slide that we borrowed. Best toy ever!! The kids played on it forever. Thanks for letting us use it!!
This is our neighbor Aidan.....he is a stud. He loved to stay at the top of the slide & man the water.
These are our neighbor twin boys also along with Jackson. I had a little pool set up with a slide, & a sprinkler in the middle, so that the littler kids could have fun. While the big kids played on the water slide.
Time for a little R&R&.....Pizza. Look how cute they all are.
I love Ryan in the middle cheesing it up!!
This is the scene from our backyard. I put up a little shade tent for the mom's to stay nice & cool. Both of Ethan & Jackson's Grandmas came too. Thanks for coming, they loved you there.
Thanks for coming. We had lots of fun!! Maybe we can do it again next year!!

Cheap Trick, Poison......DEF LEPPARD

My awesome brother invited me to the Cheap Trick, Poison &.......DEF LEPPARD concert!!!! I love outdoor concerts, it was so much fun to be at USANA. Some of my brother's friends came also. I absolutely loved it!! I will be going again. They sound so awesome, just like they do on their album. Thanks Ryan for the great night.
This is my brother...his friend's wife, Frosty.....she is a blast to hang with & me rockin' out
The place when Cheap Trick opened...noticed the little family in front of us....i just find it funny that the 2 boys were there.
These are not the greatest pictures but i was so excited that i kind of forgot to take pictures & i didn't bring my good camera to get a close up...this is POISON
AND.............Def Leppard!! It was fun..........loved it!!
Thanks again Ryan.......frosty.......troy........& DEF LEPPARD!!!

Cherry Hill

We have been wanting to go to Cherry Hill for awhile. We planned to go in June with my brother's family but it was so rainy & cold we rescheduled. We ended up going the end of August & then my brother couldn't come but, we found out our neighbors were going that same weekend!! We had lots of fun....lots of people but fun. We decide next time we will just go up on a week day. They have a tube slide called Cardiac Canyon. It is pretty fun...it has waterfalls drops and all that good stuff. I didn't think Ethan would go on it but he did TWICE.....he was done after that. I wish i would have pictures of him going down but i left it back at our camp site. Oh well....it was fun....we'll have to do it again.

Hampster Haven....Jackson
The boys loved playing in here....Jackson had a hard time getting out!
This is just a short little slide that kids can go on....Ethan & Jackson could have gone on it a million times if we let them.
Jackson decided he should stand up at the end....it didn't end happy!
These pictures are dark. I don't know what happened. The boys loved jumping into the pool....they could do this all day too.
I love this picture....it looks like he is diving
Thanks Bergs for the fun weekend.....we'll have to do it again !!

Another cabin

We went to another cabin after our mouse cabin. This one i must say was a bit nicer. This is the type of cabin i would like if i ever got one. It's just big enough for a good size family & i like the area it is in. My mom's friend owns it & so my side of the family went up there over night, it was a lot of fun. I love being with my family just hanging out & going 4 wheeling...that is my favorite. The boys love it too.
Here are 2 of my cute nephews! Easton (the baby), is SO stinkin' cute. He smiles all the time, so i just had to put 2 pictures up of him. Kevin got him to smile really big & laugh.
See i told you .......CUTE!!
The upstairs is just one big room with lots of beds. All the boys were having fun running & sliding on the wood floor
This is my Jackson playing with the boys....he loves running & laughing everywhere. I need some of his energy.
Thanks Caroline for letting us use your awesome cabin & thanks family for the fun weekend.

I am a little behind on my blogging....but i vow to do things in order, so be patient. I will get up to date eventually. We went to one of Kevin's friends cabin, over the 7th & 8th in August in Manti. This cabin has a cool story, it was his grandparents from the 1930's. This cabin is way up the mountain all by itself. There is no other cabin around you. It's a total hunting cabin, not like these plush cabins people have now days. There is no electricity, no running water...but they made him put a flush toilet in the outhouse...so a plus. It is pretty much right on the edge of a cliff, with a beautiful view.
Inside the cabin it has 2 lofts & Kevin thought it would be fun to sleep up there but, i noticed HUGE mouse poop up there so i opted to sleep on the beds downstairs with Jackson. Kevin & Ethan decided it was fine to sleep up there...of coarse Ethan is oblivious to what is going on, so no big deal for him. WELL....during the night i could see Kevin's flashlight going on & off probably 20 times during the night.......I thought to myself "i bet he is trying to scare away mice???" The next morning i ask him & he said he could hear mice climbing the roof all night long & saw one trying to get inside.....CRAZY!! YUCK!!
Anyway, we had fun riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles & seeing all the cows.
Thanks Russell for the fun time.

Ethan ready to ride
Ethan & Kevin sleeping with all the mice poop!!
Our little family & the cabin
The view...right on the edge.
Happy boys!!

4th of july

I know this was a while ago but for my own peace of mind i decided to put them up here. On the 4th we went to the West Jordan park. They had a whole carnival set up there. It was pretty fun. We had fun watching the boys on the rides. Ethan kept wanting to go on the motorcycle one & so did every other kid that was there. We had to wait in line for while all the other lines were short. The things you do for kids. Then we went over to our friend's Scotty & Melissa for a little BBQ & a neighborhood firework show. It was fun just hanging out. As you can tell from the picture below, Ethan was SO excited about the fireworks. I think i enjoy them more than he does. Anyway...thanks guys for the fun night.

TREK

Well Kevin went on his first trek. He was a little leery about going since his brother, on his trek, had to hunt for food & kill their own turkey.....fun stuff. They have come along way since then. Kevin said they had plenty food & water. Modern day pioneers. I even made him take his phone so he could call me!! Kevin left early Wednesday morning & came back in the afternoon on Saturday. This is a picture of him when he got home. I didn't even recognize him. Might i way what a hot pioneer! I guess the rugged outdoor type does something for me!! TMI??? Anyway...... he said he did enjoy it & would go again in 4 years or so. We sure did miss him back at the homestead!!

My baby is 2 ! Happy Birthday!

I can't believe that my youngest is 2. He is talking so much more & into everything. He is Ethan's little shadow. On Jackson's birthday we decided to go to Wingers, since he gets a free meal on his birthday. I don't mind going because i LOVE the asphalt pie!! YUM!
It was fun. He was so happy & excited the whole time.
Yummy Asphalt Pie
Jackson enjoying his free meal
My 2 other boys!!

Afterwards, we went to the Murray Pool. We like Murray because you can take your kids down the big slide with you. The West Jordan one they won't let you. Ethan loves the slide, he went down it a million times! Jackson was a bit scared when we got in the pool. He was holding onto me for dear life!! He would not let go. Ethan also would just go down the slide but not come play in the area where all the water was coming down. I guess we need to go more. We were about to leave & then i guess the boys knew this so they decided to do a 180 & love the water!! Jackson left the safety of mom & went off on his own.....going down the little slide by himself....going under the waterfalls....laughing the whole time.......it was funny.
Needless to say we stayed, they were having too much fun getting soaked !

Fearless Jackson going down the slide all by himself
My little 2 year old. Notice he is sporting pink plastic pants....very manly.

Happy Birthday Jackson!! We are glad you made it here, despite the crazy 9 months you had & the grand entrance you made. We love your smile, your laugh, the way you follow Ethan around everywhere, your love for tractors & trucks.......... you make us very happy.
WE LOVE YOU JACKSON!!

YM tetons

Kevin is the YM president in our ward.....he fits right in......just a big kid himself. They went up to the High Adventure base camp in the Tentons. They went last year too....it looks pretty awesome to me. They have an obstacle course there, went mtn. biking, & my favorite....... rafting the Snake river. I wish we did things like this when i was in YW.....instead i had to learn to be a homemaker......making bread. I still don't make bread....but i river raft!! They had a few accidents up there.....one boy crashed on his bike, one had to get stitches in his head & the bishop broke his finger....boys will be boys. Maybe next year they will need a much needed nurse!
I missed Kevin while he was away............but i know he loves doing this stuff & being outdoors just like his wife.
My Kevin & Davis
The infamous group in Jackson Hole

They had a lot of challenges they had to do. One of them was to get as many people over the water on this rope. Pretty funny to watch the video & pictures of them

The bishops poor finger
Adam's crash......I am sure his mom loved that when he got home!! :)
